The Morning Bulletin - - NEWS -

DISCUSSIONS about how to manage Frenchville State School traffic issues didn’t materialise yesterday in council after the meeting was cancelled.

The safety of children at the popular Rockhampton school was meant to be discussed at yesterday’s Infrastructure Committee Meeting, but the meeting was cancelled only hours before its start time.

Ongoing traffic issues at the school were raised to the council a number of months ago with some parents airing their frustration about the chaos on Facebook.

■ LANA JOHNSON - “Wow! If you have never seen Frenchville school from 2.30pm onwards with 1000 kids all leaving at the same time then you have no clue! Maybe all the other schools need a great principal to speak up for them.

About time they did something! It’s the biggest primary school in Rockhampton ... it needs addressing.”

■ MICK WOOLEY - “About time they are going to take action.”

“Maybe ALL schools should be on the agenda.”
