Truck burst into flames at By­field

A TRUCK BURST into flames on By­field and Stoney Creek Roads yes­ter­day morn­ing with emer­gency ser­vices rush­ing to the scene.

The Queens­land Fire and Emer­gency Ser­vices re­ceived the call about 6.55am and de­ployed two crews to the area where it ap­peared a truck caught fire near a busi­ness pre­misses.

One QFES crew ar­rived to find the op­er­a­tions man­ager of the busi­ness had ex­tin­guished the flame.

Au­thor­i­ties had ini­tial con­cerns with a leak­ing diesel sup­ply tank on the rear of the in­flamed truck but shifted the fuel af­ter the flames were ex­tin­guished.

Queens­land Po­lice Ser­vice re­ported the in­ci­dent as non-sus­pi­cious.

Liv­ing­stone Shire Coun­cil had no fur­ther in­for­ma­tion on the spill to the roads af­fected.
