KC Machinery opens up in the Tweed
THE farm machinery vendor KC Equipment has extended operations into Murwillumbah.
The company bought Noel Graham Farm Machinery to add to its outlets at Lismore and Yatala, and provide the Tweed Shire with a dedicated new equipment provider.
Director Russell Bryson said KC Equipment would continue operating from the same location, with the same product range and the same local staff behind the counter.
The acquisition means KC Equipment will become the sole AGCO dealer from Brisbane to north of Grafton. John Berends products will be added to the existing ranges of sprayers, implements, slashers and cane equipment.
Previous joint owners Noel and Mary-anne Graham and Debbie Byrne are retiring, with Malcolm Byrne staying to help with the transition.
Mur’bah born-and-bred Noel started as an apprentice mechanic with Massey Ferguson dealership Ebbott Fenner in 1969, and Malcolm began a few years later, over the road at Tweed Machinery.
In 1988 the pair bought Ebbott Fenner, in 1996 they were approved to become Case dealers, and in 2000 they bought Sunrise Motors, bringing the Kubota brand into the company.
