Finance guidance for young
A FREE workshop to guide young people entering the agriculture sector on how to access the necessary finance will be held in Lismore this month.
The Getting Started – Bank Ready workshop will be hosted by the Young Farmer Business Project, a joint initiative between the NSW Department of Primary Industry (DPI) and NSW Farmers.
It is designed to inform young farmers how to be prepared when accessing finance to enter or expand an agricultural business.
“It can be difficult for young people to navigate the many business barriers, so young farmers are encouraged to attend the workshops to gain valuable insights to better understand banks and what they require,” a spokesperson said.
A guest speaker from a local agribusiness lender will discuss banking terms and language, how to make better financial decisions and how to develop a positive relationship with financial lenders.
The workshop is on Wednesday, July 19, at the Lismore Worker’s Club from 6–9pm.
