THERE were reduced numbers to 1670 cattle, a penning of 600 head fewer.
Smaller numbers of weaners were yarded, but there was an increase in yearling cattle.
Grown steers and heifers were also in lesser numbers as well as cows, where the numbers reduced to 183 head, almost half last weeks' penning.
Best weaner steers showed a cheaper trend, although the average was firm. The heifer portion was a little dearer.
Both steer and heifer yearlings were firm to slightly dearer on last day.
There were only a minimal number of grown cattle to quote, with steers and heifers being cheaper. Best cows showed a cheaper trend and light cows held firm.
Bulls were also dearer.
