It’s show time on the North Coast

SHOW sea­son is in full swing across the North Coast, with three back-to-back week­ends of agri­cul­tural shows.

Last week­end’s suc­cess­ful Kyo­gle Show will be fol­lowed by the Casino Show this week­end, and the Lis­more North Coast National from Oc­to­ber 19–21.

The North Coast National will in­clude the much-loved show­girl com­pe­ti­tion, now in its 55th year, which will be judged this Saturday with a pre­sen­ta­tion to follow in the evening.

The show­girl com­pe­ti­tion is an op­por­tu­nity for en­trants to high­light their per­son­al­ity, grow con­fi­dence, fo­cus on their am­bi­tions, en­hance their knowl­edge, be­come more in­volved with the com­mu­nity, and net­work with like-minded women.

En­trants will be in­volved in sash­ing par­tic­i­pants, pre­sent­ing prizes and will re­ceive free en­try to the 2017 Norco Lis­more Show.

The win­ner will go on to rep­re­sent the North Coast National at Zone where they have the op­por­tu­nity to com­pete against other Zone 1 fi­nal­ists, with two win­ners going on to com­pete at the Royal Syd­ney Show.

They will also re­ceive $1000 cash from The North­ern Star plus $1500 worth of other prizes.

Other up­com­ing shows in the re­gion in­clude the Mur­willum­bah Show on Novem­ber 3 and 4; the Mul­lumbimby Show on Novem­ber 11 and 12, and The Ban­ga­low Show on Novem­ber 17 and 18.
