It’s show time

Coun­try fun this week­end at the North Coast Na­tional

SEG­WAY rides, laser clay shoot­ing, lawn mower races and mon­ster trucks will all be part of the fun at the three-day North Coast Na­tional Norco Lismore Show at the Lismore Show­ground.

The show kicked off yes­ter­day and will con­tinue un­til to­mor­row, Satur­day, Oc­to­ber 21.

One of Aus­tralia’s big­gest shows, The North Coast Na­tional is cel­e­brat­ing its 132nd year with a huge line-up of en­ter­tain­ment, ex­hibitors, car­ni­val rides, show­bags, free kids ac­tiv­i­ties, beef cat­tle, dog, goat and cat com­pe­ti­tions and the grand pa­rade, in­clud­ing the show­girl an­nounce­ment.

Or­gan­is­ers have put to­gether a mas­sive pro­gram that show­cases the best of ru­ral life.

It in­cludes lo­cal food, bak­ing, needle­work, cakes, veg­eta­bles, home­brew, chook art, pho­tog­ra­phy and horse events.

The of­fi­cial wel­come and pa­rade into the main arena will be held tonight from 6.30pm and will in­clude the show­girl an­nounce­ment.
