Road­works to af­fect traf­fic

ES­SEN­TIAL main­te­nance work on the Lis­more-Ban­ga­low Road over­tak­ing lanes near Bex­hill will be­gin on Mon­day.

Work to in­crease the fric­tion of the road sur­face will be car­ried out from 7am-5pm and take four days to com­plete, weather per­mit­ting.

Traf­fic con­trol and a re­duced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place for the safety of work­ers and mo­torists.

A re­view of the tem­po­rary 60km/h speed limit will be car­ried out on com­ple­tion of the work with the aim of in­creas­ing it to 80km/h.

At Ur­benville, con­struc­tion of a multi-cell con­crete box cul­vert will start at Five Mile Creek on Beaury Creek Rd.

Works will be un­der­taken at the ex­ist­ing bridge site with a side track de­tour in place for the du­ra­tion of the con­struc­tion works. All ve­hi­cles, in­clud­ing semi-trail­ers, will be able to use the side track.

Works will be car­ried out by Ten­ter­field Shire Coun­cil and sub-con­trac­tors, with the new bridge ex­pected to be com­pleted by Oc­to­ber 30, weather per­mit­ting.
