Shooting didn’t go by the book

The Observer - - NEWS WORLD -

A PREGNANT 19-year-old has been arrested after shooting her boyfriend dead in front of their three-yearold daughter, in a bid by the pair to be famous.

MonaLisa Perez was charged with manslaughter yesterday over the death of 22-year-old Pedro Ruiz III in rural Minnesota, USA.

Mr Ruiz reportedly had been pushing Ms Perez to go through with his latest prank, in which he would hold a hard-cover encyclopedia against his chest and get her to shoot at the book.

She pulled the trigger on a .50-calibre Desert Eagle, “one of the world’s most powerful semi-automatic handguns”. It can shoot through a car engine.

The bullet went into Mr Ruiz’s chest and he died.

Before the stunt, Ms Perez posted about it on Twitter.

“Me and Pedro are probably going to shoot one of the most dangerous videos ever. HIS idea not MINE,” she wrote.

The pair can be seen on YouTube doing pranks, including Doing Scary Stunts at the Fair Part 1.
