Sains­bury court date can­celled

CASSIE Sains­bury was due in a Bo­gota court yes­ter­day for the pros­e­cu­tion to re­veal their full case against her, but her ap­pear­ance was can­celled be­cause no trans­la­tor was avail­able. Sains­bury, 22, has been in cus­tody since early April af­ter she was caught try­ing to smug­gle 5.9kg of co­caine to Lon­don af­ter a tip-off. The South Aus­tralian (pic­tured)took the risky de­ci­sion to go to trial last month af­ter scut­tling a plea bar­gain. Be­fore the hear­ing, Cassie’s Colom­bian lawyer Or­lando Her­ran told News Corp Aus­tralia that pros­e­cu­tors would lay bare their case against his client.
