GLADSTONE is in for a week of excitement, as students across the region celebrate their night of nights – end-of-year prom.

The class of 2017 prom season started last night with Gladstone State High School holding its event at the Gladstone Entertainment Convention Centre. It was a spectacular show of style and sophistication with beautiful dresses on display, in a stunning array of colours, many of which harked back to a former era featuring

long trains.

The Observer will be providing coverage of all the proms, so don’t miss out.

Look out for a special feature in The Observer on Tuesday, November 28, which will contain pictures of all prom attendees.

It’s a special time of year for seniors, with final exams, the end of their school life on the horizon and the big deal that is prom night.

We wish the class of 2017 a spectacular night for each of their proms and all the best for their futures.

GREAT NIGHT: Tahlia Crighton and Nick Frost, the school captain, at Gladstone State High School’s prom last night. It was the first for this year.
