SUN­DAY’S Re­mem­brance Day marks the 100th an­niver­sary of the Ar­mistice agree­ment which ended World War 1.

Ser­vices are be­ing held around the re­gion as the com­mu­nity recog­nise and com­mem­o­rate the ul­ti­mate sac­ri­fice made by Aus­tralians in all wars.

Res­i­dents are be­ing re­minded to en­sure they pause for one minute at 11am on Sun­day.

Com­mem­o­ra­tions at An­zac Park in Glad­stone start at 10.40am while res­i­dents in other areas are en­cour­aged to at­tend their lo­cal ser­vices.
