Boys arrested over fatal KL fire
SEVEN boys aged between 11 and 18 have been arrested over a deadly fire that killed 23 people in the sleeping quarters of an Islamic boarding school in Kuala Lumpur.
Police chief Amar Singh said it looked as though the fire had been started deliberately, but the boys might not have been intending to kill anyone.
The arrests were made based on CCTV footage.
None of the boys was a pupil at the school.
The seven boys were involved in a stand-off with pupils from the school a few days before the incident, Chief Singh said.
