1. I would try to use the heritage appeal to increase tourism in the area.

If we could increase tourism to our area, it would also have the added bonus of additional jobs.

2. The CBD has many problems in attracting people back into it. Poor decisions in the past have created problems with traffic and parking, as well as the mentality of having people shop outside the city area.

I believe community input is vital to try to correct this.

3. Issue one is traffic congestion throughout the CBD.

This is a problem that needs thinking outside the square. One thing is for sure.

The State and Federal governments NEED to get off their backsides and provide funds for another bridge over the Bremer River.

This issue has been around since I can remember and that's at least 47 years.

Issue two is the state of footpaths. They are disgusting. Twenty plus years of neglect will do that I suppose. The council needs to get back to doing council work, not trying to be a corporation.

I would be pushing to level out footpaths to make them safe to walk on instead of people having to walk and push prams and wheelchairs on the roads.

Issue three is the image Ipswich council has.

A number of arrests and charges lately have severely tarnished our reputation. I would be hoping to really push for an open inquiry into past dealings and remove any and all of those who have done the wrong thing.
