‘Toxic piece of trash’ disguised as cartoon
THIS nation and the LGBTQ community have been dragged through the mire of hate and recriminations – the referendum was held to appease what turned out to be a distinct minority of people who wanted same-sex marriage to be outlawed in this country.
Not satisfied with the result, all people should be treated as equal, the LNP immediately commissioned Philip Ruddock to deliver an outcome to compensate the proportion who voted “No”.
Well, Zanetti’s cartoon (QT 12/10) has regenerated the non-acceptance of those have no control over who they are; it is a total disgrace.
We, as responsible adults, should have an obligation to teach and live in acceptance.
Obviously some of the good churchgoing hypocrites feel some children and teachers will infect their pristine views in private schools.
It is gays this time, then will it be blacks, Asians – if they don’t fit the pristine model.
In a culture that has hidden and supported criminals who destroyed children’s lives for decades worldwide and which is still ongoing, how do they have the audacity to point the finger and discriminate at those whom, through no fault of their own, are dealt a hand that is different.
It leaves me breathless – surely the QT should should make it clear on its stance on such a toxic, unfunny and divisive piece of trash disguised as a cartoon. WAYNE OFFER Thagoona
Blood on their hands
ANY politician who supports the abortion law in Queensland will have the blood of these unborn on their hands.
I would not want to be one of them when they meet their maker. ALEX PETERS Brassall
