WHAT is it like to be a teen in EchucaMoama?

No one has the same experience, and no matter how hard we try, life as a teenager will always be what we think is “hard”.

Some teens have a strict lifestyle; some have a lot of leeway, while others live a little bit more along the ‘I don’t care way of life.

In my opinion, the life of a teenager is at its best when we are given a bit of leeway.

A healthy social life is really important in the years leading up to adulthood.

I also believe that some teens have to be able to express themselves outside of the strictness of some parents, but it’s important that it’s done in a way where they are still sensible and safe.

Being in the country as a teen is better than being in the city because it’s safer, there’s a lot more to learn and there is way less pollution.

In the country we have green grass, a clear blue sky, the smell of fresh air and the sound of nature.

In the city your are lucky to even see the sky, grass or nature.

I mean I as a teen know I would love to be able to do a lot of things with leeway but not to the point where my mum or dad didn’t care about what I was doing or how I was doing it.

There is no way I would ever want to have the ‘I don’t care’ life over the strict one but I do know that I want to be able to make mistakes so I can learn from them in the future instead of making them in the future and not being able to change my life around.

As a teen I believe we should make most mistakes now while we still have a chance to change our life around and be a better person.
