Meet Maude — a BFG of the canine variety

-

ARE you a fan of Ronald Dahl’s children’s classic, The BFG?

Because if you are there’s good news.

You can take home your very own big friendly giant.

Meet Maude (pictured right), who is a 10-month-two-weekold desexed Bull Arab mixed breed Johnson Bulldog, and has just gone up for adoption after being surrendered to the Campaspe Animal Shelter.

The loveable lass has an enthusiasm for life that is simply infectious — proving she is the canine reincarnation of a friendly giant.

Sometimes Maude can get overexcited but she is quick to calm down, knowing she will reap rewards if she does.

Maude does need some lessons on how to walk on the lead as she has a tendency to pull, however, she does know other basic commands such as ‘sit’ and ‘up’.

While Maude has been brought up around children and other animals, due to her sometimes big and bouncy nature it is recommended she goes to a home without small children as she may knock them over.

Being a larger breed of dog, she will need a large secure outside area to keep her entertained and contained, as well as twice daily walks and runs.

Well-mannered with other dogs and people from all walks of life, Maude is an absolute delight and will make any home a happy one. riverineherald.com.au

Maude is available for adoption for $350.
