Great op­por­tu­nity with strings at­tached

NATHALIA’S GRAIN Store is call­ing for ap­pli­ca­tions for clas­si­cal mu­si­cians and stu­dents in­ter­ested in par­tic­i­pat­ing in a Master­class with the Waratah String Quar­tet from Orches­tra Vic­to­ria.

The Master­class will be part of an af­ter­noon of clas­si­cal mu­sic which will in­clude a con­cert by the in­ter­na­tion­ally ac­claimed quar­tet on Sun­day, Oc­to­ber 15.

The project is part of The GRAIN Store’s spring per­for­mance pro­gram which has been funded by the Vic­to­rian Govern­ment through Cre­ative Vic­to­ria.

Project pro­ducer Ken Wong said he was proud to be able to bring this ex­cit­ing con­cert and op­por­tu­nity to lo­cal mu­si­cians.

‘‘We have al­ready had great in­ter­est from mu­si­cians across the Goul­burn Mur­ray re­gion, but we are call­ing for ap­pli­ca­tions to al­low a broad cross sec­tion of lo­cal mu­si­cians to par­tic­i­pate,’’ he said. ‘‘For this rea­son we have re­cently ex­tended the clos­ing date for ap­pli­ca­tions un­til Mon­day, Septem­ber 18.”
