Playspace finally open
THE Hopwood Gardens Playspace will officially open today.
In a private unveiling, with school students who were a part of the design, Campaspe Shire will open the playspace this morning before it is open to the public from midday.
After months of delay, the project worth $520,350, features a paddlesteamer shell with port deck, an open cubby with play tables and 1m high slide, triple swing including seat for children of all abilities, turtle play sculpture with tunnel, spinner, frog spring rocker, water play pump and channel, hay bale climbers, and vertical and horizontal play logs.
The construction was supposed to be completed by early May but was delayed.
