Playspace fi­nally open

THE Hop­wood Gar­dens Playspace will of­fi­cially open to­day.

In a pri­vate un­veil­ing, with school stu­dents who were a part of the de­sign, Cam­paspe Shire will open the playspace this morn­ing be­fore it is open to the pub­lic from mid­day.

Af­ter months of de­lay, the project worth $520,350, fea­tures a pad­dlesteamer shell with port deck, an open cubby with play ta­bles and 1m high slide, triple swing in­clud­ing seat for chil­dren of all abil­i­ties, tur­tle play sculp­ture with tun­nel, spin­ner, frog spring rocker, wa­ter play pump and chan­nel, hay bale climbers, and ver­ti­cal and hor­i­zon­tal play logs.

The con­struc­tion was sup­posed to be com­pleted by early May but was de­layed.

Blood dona­tions needed

FIFTY five ap­point­ments are avail­able for peo­ple to do­nate blood in Echuca.
