The Riverine Herald - - NEWS -

PEOPLE with Parkinson’s disease are encouraged to attend a support group meeting later this month.

Parkinson’s Victoria’s Caterina Marigliani will be guest speaker at Echuca-Deniliquin Parkinson’s Support Group meeting on October 25.

Intereach community support care coordinator Anna Scott said Caterina’s visit would provide a great opportunity to keep up to date with developments and to hear from an expert in the field.

‘‘Parkinson’s disease can be very isolating and I would encourage anyone whose life is affected by the condition to come along, ask questions and learn more about the work of Parkinson’s Victoria,’’ she said.

‘‘This group is about providing support to each other and keeping up to date with the latest information and treatment of Parkinson’s.’’

The meeting will start at noon, with Caterina to speak at 1pm. The cost is $5.

The group meets on the third Wednesday of every month at Moama Bowling Club.

New members are welcome and family members and carers can attend.
