Sum­mer of cy­cling un­der­way

ECHUCA Moama Cy­cling Club’s sum­mer of cri­terium rac­ing be­gan last Mon­day.

The club had 28 rid­ers com­pete in the first cri­terium, as well as three first-time women to try it out.

The course was a 900 me­tre cir­cuit at Byford’s in Moama. A grade — 40 min­utes and three laps 1st — Chase Costello 2nd — Nathan Oman 3rd — Sam Eddy B grade — 30 min­utes and three laps 1st — Matt Edmunds 2nd — Mal McLeod 3rd — Chris Wal­ters C grade — 20 min­utes and two laps 1st — Steve Rob­son 2nd — Ray Hamil­ton 3rd — Dave Oman The next cri­terium Oc­to­ber 30 at Byford’s.

The club’s sum­mer se­ries of track rac­ing be­gan last Fri­day night as well at the Moama Velo­drome.

Train­ing runs on Tues­day nights is Mon­day, while rac­ing is on Fri­day nights from 5pm on­wards. The rac­ing is pre­dom­i­nantly for ju­niors. EMCC AGM for 2017/2018 The of­fice bear­ers are pres­i­dent Clint Flani­gan, vice pres­i­dent Ray Hamil­ton, sec­re­tary He­len Crilly, trea­surer Mar­cus D’An­gri.

The gen­eral com­mit­tee is Jamie Costello, Cor­rina Jef­fr­reys, Kay­den Jef­freys, Dom Orso, Veron­ica McLeod, Bruce Flem­ing, Der­mie Fin­negan, Troy Grif­fiths, Steve Gray.
