Hear Geoff play the pipe organ at Echuca’s Uniting Church
THE Echuca Moama Uniting Church’s pipe organ was bought in 1892 for 184 pounds.
It was rebuilt and moved into the new church in 1901 before it was completely restored in 1978.
Now the community has the opportunity to hear the organ when it is played by Geoff Anderson, who was the organist with the Cooma choir.
Geoff learned the pipe organ as a student at Wesley College and has had the pleasure of playing the Grand Organ at the Melbourne Town Hall, the Sydney Town Hall and the Sacred Heart organ in Bendigo.
Geoff has also played the organ in cathedrals and chapels on a tour to England.
Do not miss the opportunity to hear him play on Sunday, November 5, at 2pm.
Three young guest performers will provide interludes; Zena and Josephine Colacina and Chloe Uhrmacher.
The event is at the Uniting Church on Hare St and entry is $15. All welcome.
