Two teams with two and a half wins played off for the runners-up position.

Third: Lockington (Roly Head (skip), Jim Harris, Geoff Shawcross, Kalvin Stout).

A good crowd stayed for the presentati­on. Well done Barry Leheny and Allan Gerrish, the Elmore club delegates.

All clubs please note the following delegate changes; Mathoura club delegate Stan Limbrick (0457 275 760), Moama club delegate Brian Kirk (03 5482 2526). Brian is replacing retired delegate Alec Montgomery.

Tongala is next week’s venue for Wednesday, January 17. Starting at 11am.

Rich River

The New Years’ calendar for bowls has begun with Ladies 21UP first round and most of round two completed on Tuesday, January 9.

Next Tuesday – January 16 – will see the first day of purely social ladies bowls. Please note we will start play at 9.30am so have your entries in early please.

The usual skills and coaching sessions have been moved to Thursday at 9.30am with the first day being January 18.

All bowlers are welcome but your name must be on the list in the members’ locker room so the coaches can be prepared for the numbers requiring assistance. Happy bowling.
