All welcome to Intereach AGM Everyone should know what services are available at Intereach because the chances are ... you will need at least one of these services at some stage in your lifetime
INTEREACH, which has an office in Echuca, will hold its annual general meeting at its Deniliquin office on Thursday, November 22.
The community and human services organisation, which has its headquarters in Deniliquin, has undergone extensive growth in the past year, mainly due to its appointment as a key partner for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Intereach CEO Keryn Fox — who was appointed to the position about this time last year — said it had been a busy, challenging and rewarding 12 months.
She encouraged local people to attend the AGM and to read the 2018 annual report which tells Intereach’s story through the words of people who work or volunteer with Intereach and those who use its many services.
“The annual report features case studies from all our programs to demonstrate the myriad of ways we work with, and support, local people,’’ Keryn said.
“We want people to know and understand what Intereach has to offer our communities. We’re an organisation for everyone, we’re not exclusive.
“I’d go so far as saying that everyone should know what services are available at Intereach because the chances are that either you or someone close to you will need at least one of these services at some stage in your lifetime.”
During 2017-18, Intereach employed 325 staff, which was an increase of more than 9 per cent on the previous year.
Keryn said the growth was mostly attributed to Intereach being announc- ed as the Early Childhood Early Intervention provider for the NDIS in the Murrumbidgee area as well as the Local Area Coordination and ECEI provider for the NDIS in the Mallee and Goulburn areas of Victoria.
“As a result we will be opening a number of new offices in coming months as well as employing more staff, so we have another busy and exciting 12 months ahead.”
The Intereach AGM will be held November 22 at 12.30pm at the Deniliquin Neighbourhood Centre. For information, contact Nicole Tonta on (03) 5890 5200.
