Race 1: LIGHT MO­TION – Ap­pren­tice C. Sch­midt was fined $200 for chang­ing her rid­ing boots af­ter weigh­ing out and rid­ing in those boots. COUP D’ETAT – Slow to be­gin. OUR PLAYDOUGH – Raced 3 wide in the mid­dle stages of the race. ROCK THE PAC – Trainer L. Gough was rep­ri­manded for fail­ing to ad­vise stew­ards that geld­ing would be rid­den for­ward to­day, which is in con­trast to its most re­cent starts.

Race 2: ASHIKO – Ex­am­ined by the ve­teri­nary sur­geon at bar­ri­ers at the re­quest of its rider and was cleared to start. MADLUCE MIS­SILE – Stood flat­footed at the start and lost sig­nif­i­cant ground. Trainer C. An­der­son was ad­vised that he must ob­tain a fur­ther bar­rier cer­tifi­cate for the geld­ing prior to rac­ing again. RHYMING – Ham­pered at the start. DENBERN – Ham­pered at the start. HI HARRY – Over­raced in the mid­dle stages. Round­ing the home turn and in the early stages of the home straight was un­able to ob­tain clear run­ning. Pass­ing the 200m, shifted in slightly and bumped the hind quar­ters of DAP­PER ONE, which was also shift­ing out. SHUDA KNOWN BET­TER – Had to be checked near the 500m when tight­ened for room be­tween CAP­TAIN DODGE and HI HARRY, which shifted out away from GOOD LUCK MALELA, also

out. When asked to ex­plain the per­for­mance, jockey A. Spinks ad­vised that the filly never trav­elled com­fort­ably and was un­der pres­sure from the 600m and proved dis­ap­point­ing to­day. DAP­PER ONE – Bumped on the hind quar­ters pass­ing 200m and be­came un­bal­anced. CAP­TAIN DODGE – Raced 3 wide with­out cover through­out. AIR­LIE RE­WARD – When ques­tioned re­gard­ing the dis­ap­point­ing per­for­mance, ap­pren­tice L. Tar­rant ex­plained that when obliged to race wide in the early stages he al­lowed horse to stride for­ward, which, in his opin­ion, did not suit

mount as he was of the view it is bet­ter rid­den with cover. Trainer T. Hall agreed with these com­ments, and un­der­took to re­port back to stew­ards any ab­nor­mal­i­ties that may come light which

ex­plain to­day’s per­for­mance. A post race ve­teri­nary ex­am­i­na­tion of the horse, which com­pounded badly in the home straight, failed to re­veal any sig­nif­i­cant ab­nor­mal­i­ties.

Race 3: LAST SIGHT – Slow to be­gin. BUSHY – Shifted in and brushed the run­ning rail near the 1000m. MARKSFIELD – Raced wide in the early stages and was rid­den for­ward to ob­tain a po­si­tion out­side the leader near the 800m. BROTHERLY SE­CRET – Over­raced in the mid­dle stages when rac­ing 3 wide with­out cover. KAISER FRANZ – Raced 3 through­out. SKYLIMIT – Jockey B. Ste­wart ex­plained that his mount raced flat to­day and was dis­ap­point­ing. Trainer T. Gol­lan ad­vised that he would mon­i­tor the horse’s post race re­cov­ery and make a de­ci­sion whether to pro­ceed with its cur­rent prepa­ra­tion.

Race 4: STELLA OM­BRA – Reared at the start and lost ground. BUSH CAVIAR Jumped away awk­wardly. Raced wide through­out. MORN­ING FOG – Had to be stead­ied ap­proach­ing the 900m when mo­men­tar­ily tight­ened for room. CHAR­COAL MELODY – Bumped heav­ily by BAG­GER CHANCE near the 800m. A post race ve­teri­nary ex­am­i­na­tion of the horse, which com­pounded badly over the fi­nal 300m, failed to re­veal any sig­nif­i­cant ab­nor­mal­i­ties. OL’ BROWN EYES – Raced wide through­out. HAM­MOON BOY – Lost its near fore plate in run­ning.

Race 5: RE­VI­TALISE – Ap­pren­tice S. Fawke was fined $200 for fail­ing to claim his full al­lowance. DE­CON­STRUCTED – Raced 3 wide with­out cover through­out. When asked to ex­plain the per­for­mance, J. Lloyd stated that he was obliged to race wide through­out, how­ever the geld­ing did not re­spond to his rid­ing in the home straight and was dis­ap­point­ing. RETUNE – Raced 3 wide through­out.

Race 6: TRANS­PORTER – Jumped away awk­wardly. MOON AND THE STARS

In­con­ve­nienced soon af­ter the start. ONE INCH PUNCH – Raced 3 wide with­out cover through­out. PUNTA NORTE – Lost its near hind plate in run­ning.

Race 7: SILENTO – Slow to be­gin. A post race ve­teri­nary ex­am­i­na­tion failed to re­veal any sig­nif­i­cant ab­nor­mal­i­ties. LONELY OR­PHAN – Slow to be­gin. BODEGA NE­GRA – Raced 3 wide with­out cover. GOOD JOB BRO wide. LE CHEF – A post race ve­teri­nary ex­am­i­na­tion of the the horse to be suf­fer­ing from the thumps and short strid­ing be­hind. Trainer D. Hansen ad­vised he would re­view its cur­rent prepa­ra­tion.

Race 8: STRICTLY CON­CERT – Slow to be­gin. CON­SORT­ING - Over­raced in the early and mid­dle stages. TAILEVENT – Raced 3 wide with­out cover. FIRE WITHIN – Hung out round­ing the home turn. MARSCAY FORCE Tight­ened for room pass­ing the 500m.

Race 9: MOST IM­POR­TANT – Raced 3 wide with­out cover through­out. ELIM­I­NA­TOR 4

cover through­out. WILD ‘N’ FA­MOUS – Jockey D. Browne re­ported that his mount trav­elled well, when

placed un­der pres­sure soon soon af­ter straight­en­ing failed to re­spond to his rid­ing and com­menced lay out un­der pres­sure in the straight. A post race ve­teri­nary ex­am­i­na­tion failed to re­veal any sig­nif­i­cant ab­nor­mal­i­ties and a rou­tine swab sam­ple was taken.

Race 10: THER­MAL UNIT – De­clared a late scratch­ing on ve­teri­nary ad­vice at 2.20 pm af­ter be­ing in­jured in its float en route to the track. FIRST STIM­U­LUS – Slow to be­gin. AN­NI­HI­LA­TION Had to be re­strained from heels when over­rac­ing pass­ing the 1000m. HENRYVONHUFEISEN – Raced wide through­out. BECK­ON­ING LIGHT – Raced 3 wide with­out cover. ONE MANSINI – Over the fi­nal stages when weak­en­ing had to be stead­ied when tight­ened for room be­tween HO­TEL COSTE and FASTQUEST, which shifted in. Raced wide through­out.
