Oliver has Di­a­mond ready to shine

SPEEDY mare Black Di­a­mond Girl ap­pears to be back to her best after an in­dif­fer­ent sum­mer cam­paign as she cruised in win­ning her Flemington jump out on Fri­day.

The four-year-old won her 800m heat in bet­ter than av­er­age time for the morn­ing and if she is back busi­ness then she’ll be a force when she re­sumes for Luke Oliver.

Heat 1 (46.78): DAWAA found the lead with RED LIB­ERTY (3g, O’Brien) up handy and

OVERSHARE a length back in­side ROYAL SYM­PHONY. None pres­sured at all and Overshare gained an in­side run to beat Dawaa with BANDIPUR fol­low­ing the win­ner through.

Heat 2 (48.99): SINJAREE (2c, Hawkes) jumped clearly the best and led un­til MOOINOOI (2f, Eller­ton/Zahra) rushed up to take over. TARCISIUS (2g, Richards) and PRESSCOTT were next. Mooinooi was given a bit of a test pushed along beat Presscott by about two with Sinjaree a length fur­ther back. Other: Sense Of De­nial.

Heat 3 (45.87): SOUS LA TERRE (2f, O’Brien) and SPA­CIOUS (2c, Bead­man) shared the early lead CURVATURE moved up out­side them. ALJAWZAA was next on the in­side. Curvature hit the front wide out late be­fore Aljawzaa headed him on the in­side and they both broke clear. Sous La Terre held down third. Oth­ers: You Es Com­man­der, Nis­taan.

Heat 4 (47.18): BELLA MAR­TINI and VIVA LAS VE­GAS (2f, Eller­ton/Zahra) matched strides with KARAKORAM (2g, Freed­man) to their in­side and TOUCH A CLOUD (2f, Moroney) not far off. Viva Las Ve­gas hit the front late and worked clear of Touch A Cloud pushed along and Bella Mar­tini. Oth­ers: Lord Zi­pave, Mu­linello.

Heat 5(46.34): LOVE WITH­OUT TRAGEDY led them up with JOYANO and QARAH (2f, Freed­man) out­side. FALL­ING

WATERS was back on the fence. Joyano nig­gled at to take over and beat Qarah about a length with Love with­out tragedy un­der no pres­sure in third. Oth­ers: For­bid­den Kisses, Avery. Heat 6 (46.12): BLACK DI­A­MOND GIRL led them eas­ily

from COURAGEOUSNESS. A cou­ple to ERUDITION (2f, Bead­man) three out around MISS PINS (2f, O’Brien) and BINT ZAHEEYA (2f, McEvoy). Black Di­a­mond Girl al­ways trav­elled well and ex­tended to beat Courageousness about three with Bint Zaheeya on the in­side in third. Other: Exit Lounge.

Heat 7 (46.65): SQUAW PEAK landed in front from TALENT SCHOOL (2f, Hayes/Dabernig) three out around I AM IN­VIN­CI­BLE/IM­PRES­SIONS (McEvoy) and SUN VAL­LEY (2f, Bead­man). Squaw Peak was kept un­der a hold and held off I Am In­vin­ci­ble/Im­pres­sions while THINK DI­A­MONDS (2f, Freed­man) ran on un­der rid­ing along the in­side for third.

Heat 8 (46.21): SMART COUPE (2f, Eller­ton/Zahra) and HORINO shared the lead with CINNABON (2f, Hayes/Dabernig) and SKY PUNCH (2g, Freed­man) eas­ing just be­hind them. Smart Coupe shook them off eas­ily late and ran away from Sky Punch with Horino hold­ing third. Oth­ers: An­tipas, Mu­tazem Fon­ta­je­une.

Heat 9 (46.99): MISS VESPER gath­ered speed to head ALL GIFTS (2g, Bead­man) with MAY D’ORO (2f, Eller­ton/Zahra) and BELLA LUCIANA (2f, Hawkes) handy. Miss Vesper burst a way in the mid­dle stages and was go­ing half pace to the line three clear of All Gifts a sim­i­lar gap to CINQ DAMES (2f, Hayes/Dabernig) get­ting through on the fence.

Heat 10 (47.86): DANES RYKER took it up from CHAMPENOISE and ARALDO JU­NIOR out­side them. A cou­ple to ALL ABOUT JU­LIA (2f, Hayes/Dabernig) pushed along midrace. All tested to a de­gree and Araldo Ju­nior fin­ished best to down Danes Ryker and Cinq Dames along the fence.
