Was held up rounding the home turn. 4 LITTLE SHOCKER (NZ) 31/07/2017 Port Macquarie Slow to begin and shortly after was crowded losing ground. Held up for clear running in the early part of the straight, and near the 200m was eased when disappointed for a run. Passing 100m
checked crowded room. 5 VEGAS STRIP 29/07/2017 Gosford Bounded on jumping. Was held up rounding the home turn.
Race 2: 1 ACCLAIMED FIRST (GB) 25/07/2017 Wyong Began awkwardly. A post race vet exam did not reveal any abs. 2 LAKSHME 29/07/2017 Gosford Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Hung out rounding the home turn. 3 LEGENDOFOZ 22/07/2017 Kembla Grange After being slow to begin then had to be checked on jumping when crowded.
Race 3: 1 REACH FOR HEAVEN (NZ) 29/07/2017 Rosehill Gardens Slow to begin. Raced keenly in the middle stages. 2 ONSLAUGHT 26/07/2017 Canterbury Park Obliged to shift out around heels near the 200m to continue into clear running. 5 KENDALMAN 1/08/2017 Cessnock Bumped shortly after the start. Laid out rounding home turn. 6 LOQUETEUX 5/08/2017 Kempsey For some distance passing the 500m raced in restricted room when buffeted between runners.
Race 4: 2 FERINGO 25/07/2017 Wyong Began awkwardly and shifted out. 10 SONGLIKE 2/08/2017 Warwick Farm Began awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with another runner. Laid out in the straight obliging its rider to change the whip into the left hand near 100m.
Race 5: 1 FLYING DEE JAY (NZ) 27/07/2017 Beaumont Newcastle A post race vet exam revealed the filly to be lame in the off foreleg. Stable rep was advised a vet cert of fitness must be produced prior to racing again. Vet clearance received. 3 NAME OF THE ROSE 29/07/2017 Gosford Slow to begin. 4 PANGOLIN 4/08/2017 Wyong Began awkwardly and shifted out abruptly. Raced fiercely in the middle stages and got its head up on a number of occasions. 5 SAVETHELASTDANCE 5/08/2017 Kembla Grange L/Scr at 3.54pm on vet advice after the mare was loaded into barriers, became fractious, reared & hit its head. Stable rep was advised the mare would be req to barrier trial prior to racing again. Passed
Randwick 8/8/17. 6 JUST GORGEOUS 4/08/2017 Wyong Approaching the 1000m had to be steadied to avoid heels. 7 STATE OF PLAY 2/08/2017 Warwick Farm Near the 700m was bumped heavily. 8 STELLA VICTORIA 3/08/2017 Hawkesbury slow to begin (2L). 9 SWEET DEAL 2/08/2017 Warwick Farm Was disappointed for running shortly after str after bumping with another rnr & then shifted in across heels to continue improving. Rdr std mount was unable to match early speed of race & was never in a pos where it able to travel comf. Added that although there was somewhat of a margin between his mount & place getters, it would nonetheless derive benefit in races whereby it will have opportunity to settle, & its perf today was not a disap as it would appear on face value.
Race 6: 1 RHYMES 19/07/2017 Warwick Farm When qd, rdr advised that after mount was slow to begin, took it back from wide barrier to find cover. Added that mount may not have appreciated firmer going today & after filly laid in rounding the home turn and the straight, made some ground over the concluding stages. Rdr advised that the filly may be looking for races over a longer journey. In the straight, rdr lost the use of his offside rein placing him at a disadvantage. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. 3 IT’S SO OBVIOUS 29/07/2017 Rosehill Gardens Rdr std in an endeavour to take up a position closer the running rail, she was obliged from her wide barrier to press forward, resulting in her mount taking up a position outside the leader. Said however would not settle, raced very keenly and she attributed this to the mare weakening in the straight. Post-race vet exam did not reveal any abs. 7 HUMILITY 29/07/2017 Gosford Overraced in the middle stages. Approaching 600m became awkward on heels & was steadied. Was held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight.
Race 7: 2 IRISH DUKE 5/08/2017 Kempsey Reared on jumping losing ground (2L). Hung in when placed under pressure the straight. 3 JAGGER ( NZ) 27/07/2017 Beaumont Newcastle Slow to begin. For some distance approaching the 900m commenced overrace and had to be steadied away from heels. Laid in when placed under pressure over the final 300m. Stewards approved application to add Cheekers to last start winner on the basis the trainer was of opinion
gelding had worked better and been more tractable in the gear. 5 DASHING SPECIAL 3/08/2017 Hawkesbury Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
