Race 1: 1 CUBA 19/08/2017 Royal Randwick From its wide barrier steadied and shifted in behind runners shortly after the start. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. 4 CHOSEN ASSASSIN 24/08/2017 Hawkesbury Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the straight. 5 FERINGO 15/08/2017 Beaumont Newcastle Rounding the first turn was steadied away from heels. Held up in early part of the straight and did not obtain clear running until the 250m. 7 AONAIR 5/07/2017 Canterbury Park Was fractious in the barriers, got its head up as start was affected & lost ground (3L). Was slow to muster speed thereafter became detached from the main body of the field. The manners were brought to the attention of trainer. 8 LONGMU 19/08/2017 Kembla Grange Began awkwardly. Got its head up when being restrained in the early stages while endeavouring to find cover.
Race 2: 1 CHOSEN ASSASSIN 24/08/2017 Hawkesbury Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the straight. 9 READYCATGO 16/08/2017 Canterbury Park After being slow to begin, was then buffeted. Near 900m
briefly tightened for room. Race 3: 2 CANBERRA 26/08/2017 Beaumont Newcastle Slow to begin. Attempted to improve inside another runner at the 400m however was disappointed and clipped a heel and blundered. 3 I AM SERIOUS 23/08/2017 Warwick Farm Rdr std instr were to pos mare in mid pos & after 1000m mount did not show enough speed to remain to inside of heels of another rnr & when that rnr was able cross him, mare left racing wide without cover for major part of race. Added fm 700m was under pressure to maintain pos & felt mount was only one paced until 100m whereby responded & closed off race well. Further std, would benefit stepping up in dist in races that are run at a more mod tempo where mount would have opp of trav comf. 4 IT’S SO OBVIOUS 15/08/2017 Beaumont Newcastle Rdr std, mount was unusually stirred up prior to race & after being fractious in barriers was slow to begin. Added rounding first turn mare began to lay out despite his efforts, cont do so & progressively got worse. Further std, in straight hung out noticeably & shifted out & proved difficult to ride over latter stages reverted hands heels riding in an endeavor to have mare straighten & balance up in run to finish. Post race vet exam did not rev any abs. Since passed trial. 6 MARABEL 16/08/2017 Canterbury Park Near 50m was hampered.
Race 4: 1 REALISE POTENTIAL 23/08/2017 Warwick Farm Shortly after start was steadied & shifted in across behind runners to obtain cover. Near 500m was steadied after becoming awkwardly placed on heels. For some distance approaching 200m rider had difficulty gathering his reins & as such was unable to pull his whip through until near 150m which ultimately resulted in him not fully testing his mount until near 100m. 2 BEAU TIRAGE 26/08/2017 Rosehill Gardens Bumped on jumping. Near 800m raced in restricted room to the inside of another runner and became unbalanced. 3 GADFLY 27/08/2017 Wyong Approaching the 400m was inclined to lay in & became awkwardly placed on heels. 7 REBEL MISS 16/08/2017 Canterbury Park From a wide barrier was shifted in across behind riders in early stages, however then raced wide & without cover for majority of race.
Race 5: 2 SEBRING EXPRESS 9/08/2017 Canterbury Park Passing 800m had to be steadied when crowded. 6 VELLOR 24/08/2017 Hawkesbury Obliged to race wide throughout. 7 ZA ZI BA 9/08/2017 Canterbury Park Raced keenly in early and middle stages. Approaching 800m when overracing was steadied away from heels. 8 BELLA SUCCESS 12/08/2017 Newcastle A prerace vet exam of the filly, which sustained a minor abrasion to the offside hock, passed it fit to start.
Race 6: 1 EVANGELIST (GB) 21/08/2017 Gunnedah Missed the start (2L). 2 EXOTERIC (GB) 23/08/2017 Warwick Farm COT - To be ridden further fwd; settled on pace. Raced keenly throughout the early and middle stages. In straight hung in and proved difficult to ride. 3 READY FOR SUCCESS 23/08/2017 Warwick Farm Due to the tempo steadying after 800m, travelled wide and without cover. 4 SOCIAL ELEMENT (NZ) 26/08/2017 Beaumont Newcastle Slow to begin. Near the 300m was bumped. 7 BON EQUUS 23/08/2017 Warwick Farm COT - To be ridden forward to try and lead; led. 8 HYPERNICUS 20/08/2017 Moruya Laid in over the final 200m. 9 QUEEN OF HEIGHTS (NZ) 23/08/2017 Warwick Farm Raced wide and without cover throughout the early stages & was allowed to stride fwd and ultimately assume the lead near 1200m. Rdr said that after reaching the lead, mount travelled keenly & because of this, was unable to finish the race off. A post race vet exam rev no abs.
Race 7: 6 CHAVISH 10/08/2017 Kembla Grange Bumped on jumping. 8 ROGUE MISSILE 10/08/2017 Kembla Grange Began awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with another runner. Trn since reported on return to stable gelding was found have sustained a laceration its O/H cannon + swelling and soreness across back region. Vet clearance required. Clearance received. 9 WHAT COULD BE 16/08/2017 Canterbury Park Steadied & taken back in across runners after the start. 10 ONSLAUGHT 15/08/2017 Beaumont Newcastle A post race vet exam did not reveal any abs. 11 I AM IMPRESSED 10/08/2017 Kembla Grange Slow to being. Near 900m was steadied away from heels. The gelding then raced wide throughout without cover. 12 CHARMING LAD 24/08/2017 Hawkesbury Held up & could not obtain clear running until approaching the 250m.
Race 8: 1 THEWAYWEARE (NZ) 23/08/2017 Warwick Farm Slow to begin. 2 BRAZEN 27/08/2017 Wyong Near the 400m was hampered when crowded. Over the concluding stages hampered. A postrace vet exam rev no abs. 3 TENORINO 23/08/2017 Warwick Farm Knuckled on jumping. Rider suspended for failing to ride mount out to end of race. 6 LITTLE MISS BROWN 12/08/2017 Rosehill Gardens After being slow to begin, from its wide barrier was steadied & shifted in behind runners shortly after the start. After race, rdr expressed concerns in respects to mare’s action. A post race vet rev mare to be displaying cardiac arrhythmia. Trn advised clearance including ECG req prior to trialling. Clearance received & passed trial W/ Farm 25/8/17. 7 DREAM FOLK 21/08/2017 Gunnedah Rider explained that after obtaining his expected position behind midfield in the early stages, his mount travelled relatively well, however he was concerned with the slow tempo during the middle stages. Forced to shift wider passing the 600m. However when placed under pressure from that point, mount responded fairly due to rapid acceleration off the slow tempo from the rest of field. Post race vet rev no abs. 8 PLAISIR 23/08/2017 Warwick Farm Made the crossing approaching 1400m awkwardly & became unbalanced. Raced wide and without cover throughout. A post race vet exam revealed no abs. 9 FLY TILL DAWN 19/08/2017 Kembla Grange On jumping made contact with its nearside gate and lost ground. 11 ARIGOLD 23/08/2017 Warwick Farm Tightened for room leaving 1400m. Shortly after was laying in and proved difficult to ride. 12 HUSSWICK 21/08/2017 Gunnedah Brushed the running rail rounding the home turn and became unbalanced. 14 KNOW HOW 26/08/2017 Rosehill Gardens Leaving the 600m was placed in restricted room, as a consequence had to be steadied. 16e CHARMING LAD 24/08/2017 Hawkesbury Held up & could not obtain clear running until approaching the 250m.
