The Sportsman Midweek - - Trackwork - — Greg Spletter

JOLIE’S CAFE (R3 No. 4) has his hoof on the till and can score an overdue win tomorrow at Bendigo. He was placed in good company at the provincials back to back September, then ran a cracker in town last time over this trip under the steadier of 59kg, finishing about a half length from winner Rock Away. He gets little weight relief after the claim on that run and can return to winning form. SUPER SNOB (R6 No. 12) will find tomorrow’s assignment much easier than her last and from the inside gate will give a great sight. She won by panels at Wangaratta two starts back then struck trouble when closing late behind Octobello at Flemington. She takes on the older horse here but has plenty in her favour and B Mertens takes the ride. BAYKOOL (R7 No. 9) takes on an interesting field of stayers and can give some cheek stepping up to the longer trip tomorrow. He wasn’t far off them at Caulfield last start and with the rain around it’s noting that his best performance to date was on a heavy-8 in the St Leger at Flemington.
