The Sportsman Midweek - - Trackwork - — Greg Spletter

We’ve been following Baccaraat Baby all the way through a long winning streak culminating in a great win on Saturday, and we might end up doing same thing with CAPITULATE (R1 No. 1). He hit the ground running up here a fortnight ago scoring a great win at Ipswich, racing off the fence and only reaching the lead a hundred out but still put two a half lengths on them by the time they reached the post. He gives every indication that he will relish mile journey and he could easily build a nice picket fence next to his name.

KORODON (R7 No. 5) was scratched out of a tougher event hereon Saturday and lines up in an even but winnable class two tomorrow. His second start up here at Ipswich for Chris Waller was encouraging and he’ll certainly strip fitter for the run. He showed up over this trip when last in work and we will stick solid despite the rise in weight.

PONYTALES (R8 No. 7) is another who can improve off her first-up run when a late closer against the girls at Ipswich. She had solid form in her three-year-old seasons including a great effort Listed company just prior to the spell. Jim Byrne is sticking with her and she will give a great sight out to the 1350m.
