Godolphin duo primed for Caulfield assignment
WARREN HUNTLY ENCRYPTION has been kept on the fresh side since his barnstorming victory in the Danehill Stakes and heads to tomorrow’s Blue Sapphire at Caulfield for his next start.
James Cummings has kept him up to the mark with a jumpout in between runs and he looked bright and fit cruising over 1000m even in time last Thursday morning.
Cummings has the son of Lonhro is in outstanding order for tomorrow’s assignment and he is sure to run well again.
CLOAK, also prepared by Cummings, has arrived at Flemington in great shape and is likely to head to Caulfield tomorrow for his first Victorian start.
Last Thursday he worked solo over 1200m covering the journey in 1.24.58 with his final 400m in. 24.57.
He is sure to appreciate dropping back from stakes company tomorrow and his run two starts ago in the Spring Stakes at Newcastle should hold him in good stead at Caulfield.
The Nigel Blackiston-trained LADY OF FLANDERS has raced through the grades in good style this campaign and the daughter of Viking Ruler is holding her condition well.
She looked strong and fit after workout on Tuesday morning, clocking 1.10.18 for
1000m and 25.77 for her closing 400m.
Blackiston has given a solid grounding to chase some black-type over 1600m at Caulfield tomorrow and is set to run to her best.
SO SI BON has been an enigmatic galloper throughout his career but he always displayed a high degree of talent.
There was merit in his most recent performance behind Trekking at Caulfield at his first run since a gelding operation and he has trained on well since that outing.
He stepped out over 800m last Thursday morning completing the workout in 53.73 and dashing home his last 400m in 24.11.
He’s a hard galloper to be too confident about but the team at Lindsay Park appear have him ready to run well secondup at Caulfield tomorrow.
SEBERATE and THE FOUNDER, also from the Lindsay Park operation, paired up for their workout last Tuesday morning and both horses head to Caulfield tomorrow following that hit out.
They worked steadily together over 1400m and kept close company over the concluding stages to run distance in 1.38.21 and their final 400m 27.36.
With recent racing under his belt, The Founder is close to peak fitness is capable of being in the finish tomorrow.
