Race 5: 1 BETTER NOT BLUE 8/04/2017 Royal Randwick Making the home turn commenced to improve into a narrow run. After obtaining this position then had to be checked to avoid heels. Began awkwardly. 6 SERENE MAJESTY 25/03/2017 Rosehill Gardens When questioned regarding r acing f ur ther forward today, ider stated he was under no specific i nstr uctions. He added, however when his mount began par ticular ly well, he elected to take advantage of this and was able to take up a forward position i n what was slowly r un race, fur ther forward than had been initially intended. 8 DAYSEE DOOM 25/03/2017 Rosehill Gardens Near the 800m made contact on a number of occasions when endeavouring to shift closer to the rail. When questioned, rdr said that he began satisfactor ily, however was beaten for ear ly speed and settled behind midfield. He said that near the 800m, the mare commenced to race keenly and had to be steadied and shifted out to avoid heels. Fur ther std did consider after 1000m to steady & come back but believed this would have not been in best interests.
