PALAZZO PUBBLICO was found to have pulled up with Cardiac Arrhythmia at her last start which was the reason for poor performance.
Matthew Smith has given her plenty of time to recover and she been kept up to the mark lately with a nice trial and a couple of good gallops.
On Tuesday on the A Grass she worked strongly over 800m in 51.23 final 400m in 23.65 last 200m in 11.35.
It was good work and she has strong claims in the Gold Rush ( 1100m) at Hawkesbury tomorrow.
Two-year-old DRAGONEIGHT has been improving with each start and his work Tuesday pleased his trainer Greg Hickman.
Galloping solo on the A Grass over 800m he clocked 51.1 final 400m in 24.76 last 200m in 12.02.
He runs in the Clarendon Stakes (1300m) and after drawing a good barrier should get a nice run to help him finish off the race strongly.
Stablemate BRACES wasn’t far away at his first back from a spell and has trained on well since.
On Tuesday morning he did a nice piece of work on the Pro Ride over 1000m running 1.10.15 final 400m in 23.97 last 200m in 11.9.
He runs in race five Saturday and should be followed the coming weeks.
MOHER from John O’Shea yard runs in the Hawkesbury Gold Cup and he has done well since resuming on the heavy track at Randwick.
Last Saturday he galloped on the Pro Ride over 1400m in 1.38.73 final 400m in 24.77 last 200m in 11.88.
He went to the Agnes Banks/Hawkesbury complex for his fast work Tuesday and he came through that well and will give a good sight tomorrow.
Classy galloper MUSIC MAGNATE has had a freshen up since failing twice on heavy tracks over the carnival. Tuesday on the Course Proper he worked 1000m in 1.10.71 last 400m in 24.86 last 200m in 11.72.
Trainer Bjorn Baker has him looking a treat and he will prove hard to beat in the Victory Stakes at Eagle Farm.
