VIC­TO­RIA Racing Club chief ex­ec­u­tive Si­mon Love re­signed this week af­ter less than two years in the job.

Love took up the role in mid-2015 af­ter four years as an ex­ec­u­tive gen­eral man­ager with the VRC.

He has agreed to stay in the po­si­tion un­til an in­terim chief ex­ec­u­tive is ap­pointed.

VRC chair Amanda El­liott thanked Love for his six years of ser­vice and said the board would ap­point an in­terim boss as soon as pos­si­ble while be­gin­ning the search for a per­ma­nent re­place­ment.

Mean­while, for­mer Racing Vic­to­ria CEO Bernard Saun­dry has taken up the po­si­tion of chief ex­ec­u­tive of NZ Racing.
