The Sportsman Weekend - - International Races - By Ray Hickson

WHETHER ex-Perth sprinter Vega Magic is good enough to win tomorrow’s Group 1 Goodwood at Morphettville remains be seen but he’s definitely had the perfect build up.

The four-year-old, now with the Lindsay Park team, scored his second jump out win at Flemington last Friday and while Victorians haven’t seen the speed he possesses in the 800m trials it’s a deadly weapon when used right.

Vega Magic didn’t beat any stars in his trial but he did it quite well.
