STRIKE FORCE and SOGNANI teamed up for a solid gallop on Tuesday morning and the Mike Moroney-trained stablemates are in good order for their respective assignments this weekend. They finished off their workout in good style to cover 1200m in 1.22.68 and their final 400m in 24.14.
Strike Force has freshened up well and importantly retained a good deal of residual fitness leading into his next run at Sandown tomorrow, while Sognani has been progressing well i n recent weeks and resumes at Cranbourne tonight.
Moroney also paired up BUGLE CALL and
CHEROKEE on Tuesday morning and they finished off their hit out in impressive fashion.
They looked fit and strong following their 1600m gallop, clocking 1.51.54 for the trip and 24.37 their closing 400m.
Both horses head to Cranbourne tonight and in particular Bugle Call should prove hard to beat in the sixth event over 2580m.
The Kavanaghs, Levi and Mark, paired up their respective charges, SOHO RUBY and OC
TUPLETS, for a workout on Tuesday morning and both gallopers head to the same race over 1600m at Sandown tomorrow. They combined to produce on the morning’s sharpest pieces of work to run 1400m in 1.37.07 and their last 400m in 23.40.
Soho Ruby is holding her condition well and has been racing in good form whereas Octuplets
derived significant improvement from her two runs this campaign and is approaching peak
fitness heading into this weekend.
WHAT A SHOCK has returned to racing in good form and has come through his last start victory at Ballarat in great shape.
The Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahratrained son of Shocking was kept up to the mark cruising over 1000m on Tuesday morning and had plenty up his sleeve covering the journey in 1.13.68 and his final 400m in a steady 26.53.
Provided he strikes reasonably firm ground at Sandown should be fighting out the finish.

Quickening over the concluding stages of their 1000m workout they both pulled up well after covering the journey in 1.08.86 and their closing 400m in 24.39.
Diaochan is sure to prove hard to beat in the first race at Cranbourne tonight and Rocketcod is sure to appreciate stepping up beyond 1200m following his encouraging first-up run.
Strike Force is fighting fit ahead of tomorrow’s Sandown meeting
