The Sportsman Weekend - - News - By Ray Hickson

HE’S by a Golden Slipper winner and is half-brother to a Golden Slipper winner – Plato is certainly bred to be good and he put plenty of ability on display in his heat at Caulfield Tuesday morning.

By Pierro out of Stakes, dam of Vancouver, Plato (a $1.5m yearling) is on a hiding to nothing as far as racetrack performance goes but he destroyed his rivals in his 650m heat, his third (and most impressive) jump out in successive weeks.

Where Mick Price takes him from here remains to be seen and if he turns up in town it will speak volumes about the trainer’s opinion.
