Cox notified Stewards that it was his intention to now retire the mare. 26OCT-16 BDGO Rider explained that them are hung out in the straight and he was unable to ride out in his normal manner and for reason he eased it down i the straight. Race 5: CATCHY David & B Hayes & T Daber nig 18-MAR17 RH I LA post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be displaying cardiac arrhythmia. Stable representative advised Stewards t hat the filly would now be spelled. Notwithstanding this advice the stable was advised a veterinary clearance, including the results of an ECG, would be required prior to the filly barrier trial ling to the satisfaction of Stewards. Made contact with another runner near the 1000m. 18-MAR-17 RHIL Slow to begin. When questioned, rider advised his instructions were to ensure that he obtained cover. He said from his barrier his mount jumped only fairly and he elected to take up a trailing position on the back of the winner. Rider added his mount in his opinion was not comfortable on today’ s heavy track conditions, although in the circumstances he felt t he run had merit in the horse was able to make up ground in conditions.
