Then con­tin­ued to over­race for some dis­tance fol­low­ing this in­ci­dent when rac­ing wide. Doomben 05/08/2017 War Jet When ques­tioned re­gard­ing the per­for­mance of the geld­ing rider ex­plained that his mount which was rac­ing with its blink­ers re­moved to­day, did not travel at any stage of the event and proved most dis­ap­point­ing in its fail­ure to re­spond to his rid­ing in the straight. A post- race ve­teri­nary ex­am­i­na­tion of the geld­ing did not re­veal any ab­nor­mal­ity. Race 4: Out­raged Slow to be­gin. At­tempted to shift out to ob­tain clear run­ning near the 300m and then al­tered course back to the in­side ap­proach­ing the 200m. Doomb en 19/08/2017 El Cam­peador Rider ques­tioned re­gard­ing tac­tics he adopted in lead­ing on thorse to­day, which is in con­trast to its nor­mal rac­ing pat­tern. He ex­plained that he had no spe­cific in­struc­tions and from the wide bar­rier and due to lack of early speed in the race he was able to ob­tain

Race 5: Jack­pot Raced wide with­out cover. Doomben 12/08/2017 Malkara Frac­tious in bar­ri­ers then be­gan very awk­wardly re­sult­ing in rider los­ing use of his near side irons. Lost sub­stan­tial ground at the start. Rider lost his whip leav­ing the 100m. Gold Coast 19/08/2017 D’har mony Slow to be­gin. Over­raced when the pace slack­ened in the early stages and had to be checked from heels near the 850m. Sun­shine Coast 09/08/2017 Ex­cited Prince Slow to be­gin. Can­ter­bury Park Re­ally Reilly D. Browne ad­vised that the geld­ing over­raced in the early stages, how­ever trav­elled well un­til placed un­der pres­sure when it failed to re­spond to his rid­ing. Doomben 12/08/2017 Bour­bon Road Stead­ied from the heels of an­other run­ner which shifted in when not com­pletely clear near t he 1100m. Rdr std filly was rac­ing with BLK first time pulled hard through­out & af­ter be­com­ing awk on heels round­ing first t ur n com­menced t o hang out. Added as re­sult was left rac­ing wide with­out cover, cont to hang out & in his opin­ion this i s why filly weak­ened in str. Post race vet rev l ac to out­side of off-hind can­non.
