Began awk. Rdr std, i ntention was to have filly r idden quieter but from wide barr ier, steadied i n an attempt to find cover. Added mount hung out noticeably i ear ly stages & proved difficult to r ide. Fur ther std, filly commenced t o i mp pos l eaving 500m & after it made h/t awk, allowed it to balance up before placing under f ull pressure, but over l ater stages cont t o race greenly, laid out & shifted its ground approaching winning post. 8 MEROVEE 15/08/2017 Beaumont Newcastle Slow t o begin.
Race 2: 2 MY GIULIANO BOBS Extra Bonus Scheme 12/08/2017 Rosehill Gardens Slow t o begin. 4 MULTIFACETS (NZ) 12/08/2017 Rosehill Gardens Shifted i n & made contact with another r nr shor tly after star t. Rdr std instr were to ensure mount began well from barr iers, as it had tendency to miss star t & been told take up a pos in behind leader. Added mount commenced well & with mod tempo his mount was left in front despite the intention for it to be r idden quieter than it was. Trainer confir med instructions. 5 VAUCLUSE BAY BOBS Extra Bonus Scheme 26/08/2017 Rosehill Gardens Began awk. When qst re r iding, rdr std, as notified mount would settle fur ther back & was able to take up trailing pos behind another r nr but when that r nr shifted off t o i mp near 900m felt at t his stage he was t oo far from finish to place mount under pressure & for this reason elected t o remain racing in a mid pos. Fur ther std was held up making h/t, became awk placed on heels & unable to i mp. Added could not test mount until appr 200m. 6 WAHNG WAH 16/08/2017 Canterbur y Par k When qst re r iding, rdr std, as customar y mount settled towards rear of field as mount only has shor t spr int, & not to make too long r un if possible. Added t hroughout r ace mount was not travelling comf & when another r nr crossed near 800m, she awk placed on r nr’s heels until passing 500m when t hat r nr shifted wider. Fur ther std immediately placed mount under pressure in order to i mp where under pressure in straight, finished its race off well. 7 PLYMOUTH ROAD (NZ) 16/08/2017 Canterbur y Par k Over concluding stages was checked and lost its r unning.
Race 3: 1 ZIN ZAN EDDIE 5/08/2017 Royal Randwick Raced keenly in t he middle stages and was steadied away from heels. 2 EMBLEY 19/08/2017 Royal Randwick COT: option to be ridden more forward; settled on pace. Slow to begin. Raced wide without cover i n the ear ly and middle stages and was i nclined to overrace. Re the perfor mance, rdr std his mount raced keenly in the r un and was left without cover. Added i n his view t he gelding was not suited by the manner i n which today’s race was run i t hat it developed into a spr int home and i n his opinion was now looking for addition ground. A post-race vet exam did not reveal any abs. 3 MORE TO GAIN 19/08/2017 Royal Randwick Application from co-trainer to withdraw the gelding on t he basis t hat t he track conditions i n her opinion had become somewhat fir mer throughout the day due to the high winds. She felt because the gelding had previously jarred up on tracks of this nature, she felt it was in the best interests of the gelding to withdraw. Stewards acceded request and advised her t hat in situations where t he track is rated as similar to toady she would be expected withdraw the gelding. 5 MURAQABA 19/08/2017 Royal Randwick Slow to begin. 7 MANDALONG KISS 12/08/2017 Rosehill Gardens Slow t o begin. Had difficulty obtaining clear r unning in ear ly par t of the straight & near 100m had to be steadied & shifted to outside of another r unner t o continue i nto clear unning.
Race 4: 1 LAST TRY WINS 19/08/2017 Royal Randwick When qst re r iding i n the mid stgs & reason he raced wide without cover, rdr std after making the first tur n was aware
r unner pos t o his i nside was racing keenly & became awkward on heels, for this reason he elected not to shift in. Std was content race wide as his mount takes some time to respond & he intended to improve into the event. Std near the 600m when the winner improved to his inside he shifted off, resulting in having to cover additional ground rounding the home tur n. 3 SUPER STAR BOB 9/08/2017 Canterbur y Park Crowded on jumping for room. Near the 700m commenced to overrace and was steadied away from heels. Post race veter inar y exam revealed no abs. 8 MAKFI LASS 5/08/2017 Royal Randwick Slow to begin. 10 VALKNUT 18/08/2017 Bathurst Rdr std mount trav well in ear ly stages, however ceased trav near 400m when struck wet section of track. Post race vet exam did not rev any abs. 11 KENDALMAN 15/08/2017 Beaumont Newcastle Overraced in the ear ly and middle stages. 12 GRUNDALINA 22/08/2017 Muswellbrook Slow to begin, then had to be checked when racing in restr icted room passing the 1000m. Rider explained that although his mount was not possessed of ear ly speed he had intended to be forward of midfield in the stages, however after being slow away and then incident at the 1000m he was fur ther back than intended. Post race vet revealed no abs. 14 CHADANA 19/08/2017 Royal Randwick Slow to begin. For some distance near the 600m was held up and unable to improve. 18e BONSLEY 13/08/2017 Narromine Overraced. Raced greenly in straight. Ran out abr uptly near 100m. Must tr ial. Passed tr ial Canberra 25/8/17.
Race 5: 2 THE MONSTAR 5/08/2017 Royal Randwick Made contact with another r unner at the star t. Overraced i n the middle stages. 4 FELINES 22/07/2017 Royal Randwick Held up for clear r unning in the ear ly par t of t he straight and when endeavouring i nto a run to the outside another r unner made contact with t he hindquar ter & became unbalanced. Failed to obtain completely clear r unning until the 200m.
Race 6: 3 CHAMPAGNE CUDDLES 19/08/2017 Royal Randwick Near the 1100m was eased to avoid heels. When being shifted outside of r unners commence its run mak
the home tur n was inclined to lay out. Continued to lay out under pressure i the straight. 5 ALIZEE 19/08/2017 Royal Randwick Raced keenly in the ear ly and middle stages. 7 I AM EXCITED 12/08/2017 Rosehill Gardens Rdr std, j umped awk & lost its footing behind & became badly unbalanced. After being crowded after star t, l ost additional ground & settled towards rear. Added in ear ly par t of straight was held up for clear r unning & unable to fully test his mount until near 50m where shifted t o outside of another r nr t secure clear r unning. A post race vet exam rev filly had a speedy cut to near-hind fetlock & was displ poor post race rec. Tr n advised vet clearance req pr ior to racing. Clear

Race 7: 8 SARRASIN (GB) 12/08/2017 Rosehill Gardens Got its head up on j umping. Steadied and shifted in behind r unners shor tly after the star t. 9 LIFE LESS ORDINARY (IRE) 19/08/2017 Royal Randwick Began awkwardly. Over the final 200m was i nclined to l ay out. 11 WINX 19/08/2017 Royal Randwick Rdr std that the mare was fractious i n t he barr iers and as a consequence was assisted by the barr ier attendant, who held her head to the side, as is usual practice. He std the barr ier attendant straightened her in preparation for the star t, however as t he star ter released the field the mare simultaneously became fractious and attempted to rear. As a result the attendant was required to fur ther assist in settling her and consequently this resulted in the mare missing the star t by 4 lengths.
Race 8: 5 ZANBAGH 19/08/2017 Royal Randwick Began awkwardly. 7 I NVINCIBLE GEM 5/08/2017 Royal Randwick Made contact with another r unner at t he star t. 9 TOM MELBOURNE (IRE) 12/08/2017 Rosehill Gardens When unable t o obtain clear r unning i n the straight, i n particular near 150m had to be se- verely checked to avoid heels & in doing so shifted in, made contact with another r unner
became unbalanced. As a consequence went t o t he finish without being t ested until near 50m. 10 THE VIRGINIAN 19/08/2017 Royal Randwick Slow to begin.
Race 9: 1 MARENOSTRO (NZ) 22/07/2017 Royal Randwick Raced keenly in the ear ly and middle stages. Near t he 800m commenced to shift out in an endeavour improve and
doing so made contact with another r unner, which resulted in t he gelding being shifted back to the fence. A post-race veter inar y examination revealed a healing superficial abrasion to the off-side fetlock. 4 ROCKET COMMANDER 19/08/2017 Royal Randwick Over the final stages could not be t ested when placed close to he heels of another r unner, which shifted out slightly. 7 WASHINGTON HEIGHTS 12/08/2017 Rosehill Gardens Rdr std i nstr t o settle where comf & geld travelled well i n posn on rail.Std when r nr advance shifted out from 500m improved to inside as track favoured r nrs racing towards rail. Std i mproved t o posn trailing favoured nr, however when it became held up had to check geld near 300m & was t hen unable to obtain clear r unning & went t o li ne without being tested.Tnr conf i nstr.Rdr was told while decision to i mprove on rail was not unreasonable should attempt t o find clear r unning wherever possible. 12 FREE STANDING 3/08/2017 Coffs Harbour Raced wide i n the ear ly and middle stages.
