ONE More Honey has only won twice from seven star ts ahead of Saturday’s Group 1 Flight Stakes (1600m) at Royal Randwick, but she’s always raced the highest level.

All that finishing three leng ths behind Alizee in the Tea Rose Stakes (1400m) a for tnight ago did was ensure she’d fly under the radar ahead of grand final day.

Alizee is the $3 favourite for the race ahead of Golden Rose runner-up Champagne Cuddles, but at $8 One More Honey is the value runner of the field.

In Tea Rose Stakes she was held up by a tiring Acque (who finished last) as she was about to unleash her sprint at the 250m.

By the time she got clear running Alizee was off and gone.

Jockey Blake Shinn is quietly confident of springing an upset for trainer John Thompson, who he combined with to win the same race on First Seal in 2014.

“The mile is going to suit her and I think she’s got a little bit of quality about her judging on her last per formance,” Shinn said.

“John Thompson and I won the Flight on First Seal. She’s probably not as good as her but this is an open race and I think she’s a great chance.”

Shinn said One More Honey hasn’t yet got near her best distance and will prove hard to hold out despite the fact the three who finished in front of her last star t are in the race.
