a tough run in the Makybe Diva Stakes,” t ra iner James Cummings said.

“I think he’s really ready attack the line and he showed real sharpness in a gallop at Cau field on Tuesday morning and the reports from the team in Melbourne are really strong ,” he said.
“He’s in great form, he’ sw el withhm self, tic king over beaut fully and doi everything we need him to do and hopefu on Sunday he can pick up a Group 1 for us.”
Half and hour after Hartn ell’ s Under wood test, Cummings will be chasing second Group 1 win when It’s Some - what resumes in the M RC Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes(1400m ).
“He’s running first-up in a Group 1 handicap which is goingtob ea tough assignment for him. He’s top weight with 58 klos and is the top-rated horse in the race ,” said Cummings.
“Inhfav our is that he actually has quite a good first-up record and he can bean unassuming, free galloping style of horse.
“He was able to win first up at 1500 ml a st preparation, although it a much easier race.
“He’s won the Group 1 Doncaster, he was successful at weight-for-age in Ho linda le Stakes in Queensland on the back of some pretty solid efforts over 2000 ml a st preparation .”
Hartnell will appreciate the distance in the Underwood Stakes at Caulfield.
