From its wide bar­rier was stead­ied and shifted in be­hind run­ners shortly after the start. In­clined to lay in through­out mid­dle stages of the event. 8 COUNTERCURRENT 25/11/2017 Sports­bet-Bal­larat Jumped away awk­wardly and shifted out. Was in­clined to lay in­wards un­der pres­sure in the straight. Race 2: 1 COLESBERG 7/10/2017 Royal Rand­wick COT - To be rid­den more for­ward; set­tled mid­field. Slow to be­gin. 2 HELIOSPHERE 18/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Slow to be­gin and then from its wide bar­rier stead­ied shifted in be­hind run­ners shortly after the start. 3 SPARKY LAD 18/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Slow to be­gin. 4 STAR SEN­SA­TION 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Rdr std in­str were take up a fwd pos, but given no spe­cific in­str where to set­tle. Added be­gan well but was not able cross rnr which re­sulted in him hav­ing to make more use of mount than an­tic. Fur­ther std, tempo race was only mod, given mount’s 60.5kg felt would not be in best in­ter­ests to take trail­ing pos be­hind rnr. Trn conf in­str & sat­is­fac­tion with rdr de­ci­sion to race out­side lead. In­quiry into rid­ing whip us­age ad­journed to a date to be fixed. 5 UP TRUMPZ 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens COT - be rid­den back from wide draw; set­tled back. On jump­ing buf­feted. 7 BUR­DEN OF PROOF 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Slow to be­gin. Rdr std inst were to have filly set­tle back as its done prev. Added felt he would have to make some use of mount to hold pos & as con­se­quence elected to ease al­low an­other rnr to imp. Std after be­ing crossed near 1000m was shuf­fled back to­wards rear, fol­lowed an­other rnr into str then shifted to rnr’s out­side whereby mount fin­ished race off well. Trn conf in­str & whislt sat­is­fied with rid­ing in early stages ac­knowl­edged rdr did have an op­por­tu­nity to main­tain early pos to in­side of an­other rnr . Inq into rid­ing ad­journed to a date be fixed. Race 3: 1 FOR­EVER NEWYORK 17/11/2017 Gunda­gai Blun­dered on jump­ing. 2 GITAN 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens COT - to be rid­den with cover; set­tled on pace. Over­raced in the early stages and re­fused set­tle. Near the 1000m had to be checked to avoid heels. 3 VOLPE 2/12/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Shortly after the start had to be stead­ied when taken in & crowded. Held up for clear run­ning the early part of the straight. When at­tempt­ing a run be­tween rnr’s near 200m be­came awk on heels & was taken out and made con­tact with an­other run­ner. 5 O’LORDY 26/11/2017 Goul­burn Slow to be­gin. 10 CALL THE CAP­TAIN 28/07/2017 Gat­ton Bumped at the start. Hung out for the ma­jor­ity of race. 11 ME­TRE EATER 16/11/2017 Port Mac­quarie Over­raced round­ing the first turn. Race 4: 1 POS­I­TIVE PROB­LEMS 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens When qst re­gard­ing the im­proved per­for­mance, sta­ble repr and rdr std that the only ex­pla­na­tion they could of­fer for to­day’s im­proved show­ing was mare had been aided by be­ing able to dic­tate terms with­out un­duly re­strained and was able to lead at a mod­er­ate tempo. Sta­ble rep added the mare had raced suc­cess­fully in this man­ner in its last cam­paign & his opin­ion was the ex­pla­na­tion. 2 OVERSTEP 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens COT - op­tion to be more for­ward; set­tled off mid­field. Be­gan awk­wardly and shifted in. 3 NOIRE 17/11/2017 Can­ter­bury Park When be­ing re­strained by its rider in the early stages to ob­tain cover, got its head up when in­clined to over­race. 7 QUEEN MISTY 17/11/2017 Can­ter­bury Park From its wide bar­rier was shifted across & be­hind rnr’s shortly after start. Rdr expl, elected fm 600m to imp along run­ning rail in en­deav­our save ground as mount was re­sum­ing to­day. Added if he were to shift to out­side of an­other rnr & imp, his mount might not fin­ish race off, there­fore, pur­sued runs through field but was held up un­til appr 100m. 8 STAR SEN­SA­TION 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Rdr std in­str were to take up a fwd pos, but given no spe­cific in­str where to set­tle. A post-race vet­eri­nary ex­am­i­na­tion did not re­veal any ab­nor­mal­i­ties. 2 CARZOFF (FR) 18/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Slow to be­gin & from its wide bar­rier stead­ied and shifted in be­hind run­ners shortly after the start. 3 MOR­TAR PLATOON (IRE) 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Rdr qst re­gard­ing poor per­for­mance; std would be bet­ter suited on a more for­giv­ing sur­face. Post - race vet exam re­vealed no abs. 4 STRIKE FORCE 24/11/2017 Wodonga raced wide early 9 LEAD CHORE­OG­RA­PHER (IRE) 18/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Rdr std in­str to lead & obt soft sec­tion­als. Be­gan well & after lead, com­menced to race keen would not set­tle. Said, early sec­tion­als were fast but was not able trav any slower & cont re­str in or­der to set too fast tempo in mid stgs. Added near 800m cont to race keen, de­sisted fm re­str & as re­sult geld in­creased tempo, resp 500m but due rac­ing man­ners gave ground un­der pres­sure in str. Post race vet rev no abs. Rep since re­ported will cont with prep & ex­per­i­ment with gear. 10 MORNINGTON (GB) 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Ap­proach­ing 1200m com­menced to over­race & was stead­ied to avoid heels. Held up mak­ing the home turn and in the early part of straight did not se­cure clear run­ning un­til near the 200m. 11 WILD­FLOWER 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens COT - to be rid­den more for­ward; set­tled on pace. 12 FIREBIRD FLYER (NZ) 22/11/2017 Can­ter­bury Park Rider stated he was in­structed to ride mount con­serv. and an­tic­i­pated set­tling to the rear. He added mount up and in dis­tance to­day com­menced well proved diff. to re­strain. Al­lowed to stride fwrd and lead w/o be­ing pres­sured. Once obtn. po­si­tion, con­tin­ued to race keenly. 13 D’BEAK 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens COT - to be rid­den more for­ward; set­tled out­side lead. Race 6: 1 INVINZABEEL 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Raced keenly in the early stages. 4 SAVOUREUX 18/11/2017 From its wide bar­rier was stead­ied and shifted in be­hind run­ners shortly after the start. 5 ZUMBELINA 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens COT - to be rid­den more fwd; set­tled back. Rdr std in­str were to take up fwd pos & an­tic set­tling be­hind leader. Added jumped awk & lost some ground & then elected to ride mount con­ser­va­tively in or­der obt pos with cover. Fur­ther std in early stgs was obliged to race wide with­out cover un­til near 900m & from this point fol­lowed an­other rnr into race & after ini­tially resp, was disap with its fi­nal 200m. Post race vet rev mare to be dis­apl poor post rec. Rep conf in­str & in his view mare was not as­sisted by hav­ing to make wide run mak­ing h/t. V/C req. Clear­ance re­ceived. 8 TIME TO TORQUE 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Was held up for clear run­ning un­til near the 250m. Race 7: 1 KUDERO 18/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Raced wide and with­out cover through­out. 2 PER­FECT DARE 4/11/2017 Doomben Obliged to steady from heels near the 150m. Raced wide with­out cover. When asked ex­plain the per­for­mance, jockey R. Fradd stated that geld­ing may not have ap­pre­ci­ated to­day’s firm track con­di­tions and be­ing first up for some time. He was of the opin­ion the PER­FECT DARE would take a fit­ness ben­e­fit from to­day’s race. A post race vet­eri­nary ex­am­i­na­tion fol­low­ing its dis­ap­point­ing per­for­mance failed to re­veal any sig­nif­i­cant ab­nor­mal­i­ties and a swab sam­ple was taken. 5 HIGHLY GEARED 9/11/2017 Flem­ing­ton Bumped on jump­ing. 6 ZIGGY WIL­LIE 18/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens When qst re rid­ing in straight, rdr std, an­tic tak­ing a run be­tween rnr’s in early part of straight but was con­cerned an­other rnr would shift in, which would re­sult in his mount be­ing disap for this run. Added when an­other rnr’s shifted in & out he then stead­ied and to the out­side of rnr, but his mount was still not af­forded clear run­ning un­til near 100m, whereby he shifted to the out­side of an­other rnr to find clear ground. Added over fi­nal 100m his mount found the line strongly. 8 GUARD OF HON­OUR 20/05/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Slow to be­gin. 9 OZARK 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Cor­wded on jump­ing. From its wide bar­rier was stead­ied and shifted in be­hind run­ners shortly after the start. Had dif­fi­culty ob­tain­ing clear run­ning for some dis­tance near the 150m and over the con­clud­ing stages, could not be fully tested when rac­ing tight be­tween rnr’s. 11 TEST THE WORLD (NZ) 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Be­gan awk­wardly and shifted out. 12 SIN­GLE BUL­LET 28/10/2017 Moonee Val­ley Lost its near fore plate dur­ing the race. 13 BON AMIS 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Rdr std in­str were not to lead due to ex­pected fast tempo. Added com­menced well but was caught wide e/s, elected cross rnr mak­ing 1st turn & after clear­ing rnr shifted in to take a pos one off, but pre­vented from do­ing so when rnr shifted to out­side of an­other rnr. Fur­ther std then obliged to race 3 wide & with­out cover from that point given fast early tempo re­luc­tant ride mount fwd to cross rnr but after rid­ing pa­tiently mak­ing h/t & in early part of str, due wide run, com­menced to ride vig­or­ously fm 300m & peaked on run close to W/P. Trn conf in­str re­minded of obli­ga­tions. Race 8: 1 GRANDE PUNTO 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens From its wide bar­rier was stead­ied and shifted in be­hind run­ners shortly after the start. Had dif­fi­culty ob­tain­ing clear run­ning in the early part of the straight. 2 LANCIATO (NZ) 29/04/2017 Hawkes­bury Slow to be­gin. 5 TEST THE WORLD (NZ) 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Be­gan awk­wardly and shifted out. 6 DRACHENFELS 7/11/2017 Royal Rand­wick Slow to be­gin. 7 BON AMIS 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Rdr std in­str were not lead due to ex­pected fast tempo. Trn conf in­str & re­minded of obli­ga­tions. 8 ON THE SPOT 22/11/2017 Can­ter­bury Park Stead­ied & shifted in be­hind rnr’s after start fm wide bar­rier. Brushed with an­other rnr be­came un­bal­anced near 150m. Appr 700m awk placed on heels & shifted out. Rdr std, in­str were to ride mount with cover & ahead of mid but in ini­tial stgs num­ber of rnr’s rid­den ag­gres & rather than be­ing caught wide with­out cover, drifted back & be­lieved this was best op­tion to obt cover. Trn conf inst. Rdr ad­vised should en­deavor wher­ever pos to ride mount’s in ac­cor­dance with in­str. 9 PIPE­LINE 18/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Slow to be­gin. 10 TORPENHOW 22/07/2017 Royal Rand­wick Slow to be­gin. Sta­ble rep re­ported on Tues 28/11/17 after track­work the geld­ing bled one nos­tril. The geld­ing has since passed a 1000m gal­lop in pres­ence of Stewards. 12 LAY DOWN THE LAW 3/08/2017 Coffs Har­bour Stead­ied after im­prov­ing onto heels ap­proach­ing the 1300m. 13 BALMAIN BOY 18/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Bumped and be­came un­bal­anced on jump­ing. Near 1200m when in­clined to race keenly had to be stead­ied from heels. Ap­proach­ing 1000m cont fiercely & checked when crowded. Leav­ing again had to be checked when crowded. Be­came un­bal­anced near 200m. A post race vet exam rev geld to have mul­ti­ple lac­er­a­tions to the nearhind hock. 14 THE HIPSTER 15/11/2017 Hawkes­bury Be­gan awk­wardly and made con­tact with an­other run­ner. 15 BRAVE SONG 5/08/2017 Royal Rand­wick Re perf, rdr std the colt trav­elled strongly & im­proved into race mak­ing the home turn. Std when placed un­der pres­sure his mount did not re­spond as an­tic­i­pated. Only ex­pla­na­tions he could of­fer were to­days Soft track con­di­tions and the colt may have come to the end of its prep. A post-race vet exam re­vealed a small punc­ture wound out­side the off-fore can­non. Co­trainer ad­vised colt in his opin­ion is still some­what im­ma­ture and in­di­cated he would now be spelled. Race 9: 3 CAERLESS CHOICE 18/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens From its wide bar­rier stead­ied and shifted in be­hind run­ners shortly after the start. 4 GOLD AM­BI­TION (NZ) 25/11/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens Ham­pered shortly after the start. When qst re his rid­ing near 900m and in re­spect to the rea­son he shifted off three wide, where his mount then raced with­out cover from that point rdr std after fol­low­ing an­other rnr, com­menced to race keenly when it be­came awk­ward on that rnr’s heels. Added as he took hold of his mount to avoid heels the geld­ing shifted off and was obliged to race three wide with­out cover. Rdr fur­ther added when an­other rnr shifted out re­sulted in his mount be­ing taken even wider again mak­ing the home turn. 5 CELLARMAN 2/12/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens On straight­en­ing un­til after 300m had dif­fi­culty ob­tain­ing clear run­ning. 6 MAG­I­CAL STANCE 12/08/2017 Rose­hill Gar­dens COT - Not to re­strain at start & op­tion to be more fwd; set­tled off pace.
