THE EARLY CROW
None other than Jungle Edge (Race 5). Has found conditions made to order with the likelihood of a soft track. Gets back out to 1200m, which will also help and still not badly treated at the weights after the claim. Simply looks too good.
Bookies may well be prepared to take a few risks with Burning Front (Race 8). Has to carry the full 60kg here and contend with a wide barrier in 15.
He has handled this track before and not far away behind Jungle Edge at Sandown last start but is he going as well as previous campaigns?
AT THE TRIALS
There was a lot to like about the trial effort of Bel Sonic (Race 1). Liked way he attacked the line under his own steam and seemed to have a lot in reserve when third at Cranbourne
on Nov 27. Promising type who will be hard to hold out.
Invincible Al (Race 4) caught the eye with his barnstorming finish to win over 955m at the Valley last start. Was the only only horse to break 34s for his last last 600m on the race and shot home his last 200m in a slashing 11.28s. That was only his
first run from a spell and will be even better now.
THE STATS SPEAK
Silvera (Race 6) looks very well placed tomorrow and attractively weighted on the limit after some strong efforts in town. Has won two and placed third once from four starts at the trip and has won three of four on soft tracks. Go close.
