TRAINER Anthony Freedman has changed plans with crack mare Shoals as she heads towards the $13m The TAB Everest on October 13. daughter of Fastnet Rock will bypass the Moir Stakes at Moonee Valley next Friday night and instead tackle the Group 2 Premiere Stakes (1200m) at Royal Randwick the following day. “We just felt 1000m would be too sharp for Shoals in the Moir so we’ll get her up there to the 1200m at Randwick,” Sam Freedman, assistant trainer to his father, said. In what is shaping as a mini Everest, six of the 11 confirmed runners in The Everest will contest the Premier Stakes. Shoals will face off against Trapese Artist, Redzel, In Her Time, Invincible Star and her own stablemate Santa Ana Lane.
