Race 1: A Man To Match Laid in un­der pres­sure from the 400m on­wards. Sun­shine Coast 01/09/2018 Aileach Near 900m be­came un­bal­anced after mak­ing con­tact with the run­ning rail. Doomben 15/09/2018 Ca­pit­u­late Jumped awk­wardly, shifted out and bumped an­other run­ner. Doomben 19/09/2018 Lope for Joya Im­proved on to heels near the 500m and was stead­ied by its rider. Mo­men­tar­ily held up round­ing home turn. When ques­tioned as to the below mar­ket ex­pec­ta­tion per­for­mance of his mount, jockey R. Goltz ad­vised that the filly be­came quite ag­i­tated dur­ing pre­lim­i­nary and whilst in bar­ri­ers after be­ing loaded. He added that the filly trav­elled strongly dur­ing event but when placed un­der pres­sure failed to re­spond to his rid­ing and proved dis­ap­point­ing. A post-race ve­teri­nary ex­am­i­na­tion re­vealed no sig­nif­i­cant find­ings. Toowoomba 16/09/2018

Race 2: Hingus Rose Raced wide. Sun­shine Coast 22/09/2018 Our Ja­maica Bumped at the start. Dis­ap­pointed for clear run­ning near the 200m. Doomben 08/09/2018 On a High Im­proved on to heels and hung out, shift­ing wider the track for a short dis­tance round­ing turn near the 1300m. Laid in round­ing the home turn and con­tin­ued to do so in straight. Toowoomba 16/09/2018 Shuda Known Bet­ter Threw its head in the air on jump­ing away, re­sult­ing rider be­com­ing un­bal­anced and as a con­se­quence the mare set­tled fur­ther back in the field than an­tic­i­pated. Race 3: Latino Lover Round­ing the first turn the geld­ing lost its foot­ing, be­com­ing very un­bal­anced and dis­lodg­ing its rider. A post race ve­teri­nary ex­am­i­na­tion of the geld­ing did not re­veal any ab­nor­mal­ity. Lis­more 20/09/2018 Polemic Bumped and in­con­ve­nienced on jump­ing. Doomben 15/09/2018 Sir Barnabus Near 1400m eased after be­com­ing awk­wardly placed at the heels of SAN TELMO. Doomben 15/09/2018 Tu­cano Jockey C. Col­less re­ported his mount hung in and made con­tact with the fence leav­ing the 800m. Held up for clear run­ning from 550m un­til ap­proach­ing 300m. Race 4: Sunny Vic­tory Held up round­ing the home turn and had dif­fi­culty se­cur­ing clear run­ning from the 400m un­til near the 100m. Sun­shine Coast 09/09/2018 Tawfiq Boy Raced keenly in early stages. Lost ground when checked near the 600m. An­gled out­wards 250m and made con­tact with KIEVANN. Laid in over the fi­nal 100m. Doomben 08/09/2018 Kievann Slow into stride after jump­ing away awk­wardly. Raced wide through­out. Bumped heav­ily by TAWFIQ BOY near the 250m. J. Lloyd, the rider of TAWFIQ BOY, was rep­ri­manded and ad­vised to take more care when shift­ing ground in fu­ture. Doomben 08/09/2018 Taillevent Raced keenly for short dis­tance ap­proach­ing 800m. Laid out­wards mak­ing turn near 600m. Un­able to se­cure clear run­ning for ma­jor­ity of straight and un­able to be fully tested. Rider stated ap­proach­ing home straight PUZ­ZLING WON­DER rolled out and he elected to come to in­side of that geld­ing which didn’t im­prove into race as ex­pected and then elected to go back to the in­side was un­able to ob­tain a clear run for ma­jor­ity of straight. Ste­wards noted ex­pla­na­tion but ad­vised may have been pru­dent to race be­hind SU­PER SUAVE slightly longer to give pos­si­ble op­tions to both the in­side and out­side. Doomben 15/09/2018 Pow­er­line Stead­ied on straight­en­ing when en­deav­our­ing to im­prove into a run be­tween run­ners & was ul­ti­mately dis­ap­pointed for that run; laid in across heels of in the early part of the straight & was stead­ied; then be­came held up was un­able to im­prove un­til near the 200m when shifted out to im­prove. Mudgee 02/09/2018 Mys­tic Moon When quest, rdr stated mount laid out round h/t how­ever he did think it had pre­sented a run for favourite. Rdr stated on straight­en­ing his mount was trav­el­ling strongly & he did not feel need to place it un­der full pres­sure. Rdr stated on straight­en­ing he al­lowed mount to drift back to­wards fence & was sur­prised a run­ner had im­proved into the run­ning. Rdr stated he bumped favourite & be­came un­bal­anced. Race 5: Prue’s An­gel Eased off the heels of TAWFIQ BOY over con­clud­ing stages. J. Lloyd, the rider of TAWFIQ BOY, was ad­vised to ex­er­cise greater care in sim­i­lar cir­cum­stances. Doomben 15/09/2018 Mys­tic Moon When quest, rdr stated mount laid out round h/t how­ever he did think it had pre­sented a run for favourite. Gold Coast 22/08/2018 Pro­gres­sion Raced wide & with­out cover through­out. On straight­en­ing, was bumped & car­ried wider. A post race vet exam re­vealed no ab­nor­mal­i­ties. Kens­ing­ton 05/09/2018 Bella Oc­chi Hung out round­ing the home turn. Toowoomba 08/09/2018 Smartypy Raced wide. Jockey J. Lloyd re­ported to ste­wards that upon straight­en­ing he had to shift wider to se­cure clear run­ning and the horse re­sponded to his rid­ing, how­ever whilst lay­ing in weak­ened on its run over the fi­nal 200m and felt the mare in hind­sight would be bet­ter suited be­ing able to ob­tain clear run­ning later the event as it ap­peared not to be sus­tain a long run. Race 6: Cap­tain Leo Be­gan awk­wardly. Raced three wide from the 700m. Toowoomba 16/09/2018 Ped­way At­tempted to buck for a num­ber of strides shortly after start. Raced wide through­out. Doomben 15/09/2018 Alaska A post-race ve­teri­nary ex­am­i­na­tion re­vealed the geld­ing to be lame in the off fore­leg. Mor­phettville 01/07/2017 Beau Ar­row Jumped away awk­wardly. Race 7: Monaco Play­boy Hung out­wards un­der pres­sure near 100m. Doomben 15/09/2018 Cedar­wood Raced wide in the early stages be­fore ob­tain­ing a po­si­tion with cover near the 1200m. Doomben 08/09/2018 Road to Heaven Laid in un­der pres­sure in the early stages of the home straight. Doomben 08/09/2018 Dust­man slow to be­gin. Tam­worth 11/09/2018 Foxy Af­fair Stead­ied from heels of ANZIO, which shifted in­wards near 1400m. Near 100m stead­ied out­wards away from the heels of HO­TEL COSTE, which had been car­ried by MONACO PLAY­BOY, which hung out­wards un­der pres­sure. Doomben 15/09/2018 Red Colour Jumped awk­wardly in­wards mak­ing con­tact with POLEMIC. Doomben 15/09/2018 Sweet Ada­line Bumped on jump­ing. Raced wide through­out. Race 8: Char­lie Cat Raced wide with­out cover through­out. Doomben 15/09/2018 Fortensky When rac­ing 3 wide in the early stages was forced wider after pass­ing the 1000m by an­other run­ner and as a re­sult raced 4 wide from that point on­wards. Sun­shine Coast 22/09/2018 Noth­ing Box Trainer ques­tioned re im­proved per­for­mance - stated at its pre­vi­ous starts he had ex­pected the geld­ing to per­form well how­ever it had played up en route to race­course and ar­rived in an ag­i­tated stated. In ad­di­tion noted the geld­ing had re­turned after race with a wound to one of its heels. Other than that he could of­fer no ex­pla­na­tion. Doomben 15/09/2018 Reach for Heaven Ap­proach­ing 1000m stead­ied in­wards away from the heels of BACKSLAPPER, which shifted in and away from COURTZA KING. Doomben 15/09/2018

Doomben 15/09/2018 My Gi­u­liano Eased when crowded shortly after the start. Doomben 08/09/2018 Bril­liant Jet Jumped out­wards at the start, mak­ing con­tact with MON­TAUK. Doomben 08/09/2018 Ingee­goodbe Com­menced to race keenly near the 1600m and in so do­ing shifted out­wards, mak­ing con­tact with MON­TAUK. Raced wide with­out cover from the 600m. Laid in­wards in the straight. Doomben 08/09/2018 Exoteric Laid in­ward in the home straight. Cast an off fore plate in run­ning. Doomben 15/09/2018 Mu­raqaba Round­ing the first turn was checked and shifted wide on the track to avoid a fallen rider. Ran wide round­ing the home turn. Lis­more 20/09/2018 Fu­ture Event Laid out Re­ally Reilly Be­gan awk­wardly. Im­proved on to heels near the 1350m and had be re­strained and as a re­sult the rider be­came awk­ward in the sad­dle. Doomben 08/09/2018 Bal­ius When ques­tioned re­gard­ing horse’s seem­ingly im­proved per­for­mance, trainer B. Witt stated that he had ex­pected the geld­ing to per­form well at its last start, how­ever it dis­ap­pointed. He added that the geld­ing was sub­se­quently found to have been suf­fer­ing from a virus and as such treated and fresh­ened up. He fur­ther stated that BAL­IUS ap­pre­ci­ated rain-af­fected tracks and he be­lieved these fac­tors may have con­trib­uted to to­day’s im­proved per­for­mance. Doomben 08/09/2018
