A pos­trace Ve­teri­nary ex­am­i­na­tion re­vealed no ab­nor­mal­i­ties. SPIN ON COM­MAND Com­menced to com­pound from the 800m. Rider re­ported the mare came un­der im­me­di­ate pres­sure 800m and felt un­com­fort­able in its ac­tion from thereon. A post-race Ve­teri­nary ex­am­i­na­tion re­vealed no ab­nor­mal­i­ties. Trainer ad­vised that he would have the mare un­dergo ve­teri­nary tests in­clud­ing an en­do­scopic ex­am­i­na­tion and ad­vise the Ste­wards of the re­sults. Trainer later ad­vised that mare un­der­went an en­do­scopic ex­am­i­na­tion on re­turn to his sta­bles which re­vealed it was show­ing signs of a vi­ral in­fec­tion and it would now be given short let up.
