CAULFIELD

The Sportsman Weekend - - The Trackwork Winners - GEORGE LUCAS

A VERY slick gallop from SNITTY KITTY on Tuesday has her primed for a big showing in the Group 3 Furphy Sprint (1100m) the mares at Flemington tomorrow.

She was clocked over 600m on Tuesday at Sandown in 34.50 and must be respected here third-up.

Scintillating last start winner I AM EXCITED has had a four week freshen-up but continues to thrive in Melbourne and looks well placed in the same race.

A repeat performance from VASSILATOR of his Group 1 Caulfield Guineas placing would see him go very close here in the Group 3 Carbine Club Stakes (1600m).

He wasn’t asked to do a lot on Wednesday morning at Caulfield, working 1000m in evens and coming home in 38.0 for his last 600m.

Trainer Colin Little is very happy with his progress. It was a nice, sharp last 600m from YULONG JANUARY on Tuesday morning, clocking 35.40 on the Sandown course proper.

BONS AWAY steps up to his preferred 1200m in the Group 2 TAB Stakes at Flemington tomorrow.

He has had a faultless preparation so far and can weigh in here fourth-up.

He produced top work on Tuesday morning at Sandown, striding over 800m in 50.50 and 23.03 for his last 400m.

It was slick work from WINTER BRIDE also as she went 800m in 48.46 and 35.94 for the last 600m split when partnered with FROM WITHIN (Furphy Sprint).

Queensland visitor SESAR has settled in well and deserves a crack at the Group 1 feature, the Coolmore Stakes (1200m).

He worked in company at Sandown on Tuesday morning over 1000, recording 1.04 and 23.70 for his last 400m. He is a strong finisher who rates on an each-way basis. A firmer track will suit ALOISIA in the Group 1 Empire Rose Stakes (1600m).

She is third-up, racing into form and likely to relish the step up to 1600m here.

Her work with Yulong January suggests she could be back to her old self and ready to deliver.

SEABROOK worked at home on Tuesday over 1200m, her last 400m home in 23.75. She is rock hard fit.

LE ROMAIN exceptionally well on Tuesday morning at Sandown when partnered up with INVINCIBLE GEM (Empire Rose Stakes).

They were clocked over 1000m in a time of 1.10, their last 400m home in an impressive 22.45.
