The Sunday Mail (Queensland) - TV Guide - - HIGHLIGHTS -

This is a clever little courtroom cat-and-mouse game that should keep you guessing until the end. Anthony Hopkins is Ted Crawford, a structural engineer who discovers his wife is cheating on him, so he sets in motion a plan to shoot her and get away with it. His plan, however, relies on everyone involved in the case acting as he predicts. To ensure everything goes as planned, Crawford carefully studies his opposition, public prosecutor Willy Beachum (Ryan Gosling, above). Beachum is just about to leave public practice to take up a prestigious position at a private firm and seeing Crawford banged up will be one of his last tasks as assistant district attorney. When Crawford chooses to represent himself, he and Beachum go head-to-head in a case that will thrill. ★★★✩
