BIG FAT LIAR (2002) SEVEN, NOON, G, COMEDY

The Sunday Mail (Queensland) - TV Guide - - HIGHLIGHTS -

Starring Frankie Muniz from Malcolm In The Middle, you’d expect a ready teen audience. Even adults might get a chuckle or two, particularly from the performance of Paul Giamatti ( TheIdesof March, ColdSouls) as sleazy Hollywood producer, Marty Wolf. Wolf, scouting locations in Michigan, is the cad who steals a class paper that 14-year-old ninth grader Jason (Muniz) has had to write after another spot of bother at school, where he’s known as a teller of tall tales. When Jason discovers his essay has inspired the plot of Wolf’s latest movie, he enlists the aid of his best friend Kaylee (Amanda Bynes) to sneak away to Hollywood, restore his name, and beat Wolf in his own den. Such efforts provide occasional laughs and a bit of fun. ★★✩
